Warner Kevin Costner Collection (Box Set) - Dvd - Drama Movies On Dvd - Movies On Gruv
Titles include: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Wyatt Earp, The Postman, and JFK. ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES: Kevin Costner triumphs as the legendary Sherwood Forest outlaw leader in this epic adventure bringing a 12th-century medieval world to spectacular screen life. Enhancing the sheer fun of this audience rouser are 10 added minutes of footage not seen in theaters, especially more of the juicy malevolence and sinister background of Robin Hood's archenemy, the Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio also star in this lavish production lensed in Britain and France, where historic structures, majestic forests and vividly realistic recreations of Olde England combined to create a world at once ancient and ageless. WYATT EARP: Kevin Costner plays the most famous lawman ever to stride the Wild West. In a gritty, complex portrayal hailed as a "classic American performance" (Bob Campbell, Newhouse Newspapers), Costner (Dances with Wolves, The Bodyguard) plays the man who became a myth in acclaimed director Lawrence Kasdan's (The Big Chill, Silverado) epic, action-filled saga. Gene Hackman, as Wyatt's iron-willed father, and Dennis Quaid (The Big Easy, The Right Stuff) as Earp's deadly best friend Doc Holliday add power to this mammoth, hard-hitting Western. From Wichita to Dodge City to the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona, Wyatt Earp is a thrilling journey of romance, adventure and desperate, heroic action. THE POSTMAN: The year is 2013 and the future isn't what it used to be. There are no highways, no I-ways, no dreams of a better tomorrow-only scattered bands of terrorized survivors in what was once called the United States. Into this apocalyptic wasteland comes an enigmatic drifter with a mule named Bill, a knack for the works of Shakespeare and something he has yet to discover: the power to inspire hope. JFK: Chronicling New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison's investigation into the assassination of United States President John F. Kennedy, this riveting drama examines assassination theories that still plague the United States with persistent questions, doubts and suspicions about the murder of a charismatic President-an event that changed a nation forever. Based on the books Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy by Jim Marrs and On the Trail of the Assasins by Jim Garrison. Only the best buy direct from GRUV
