You get nearly a thousand flower buds per plant with the Red Belgian Mums®. Buy yours today! Planting & Care 1. Planting: Ensure the planting site receives full sunlight (up to 6 to 8 hours daily). You can plant whenever the soil temperature reaches 60°F. The ideal soil pH ranges from 6.0 to 7.0, and the plant prefers well-drained, fertile soil. To enhance blooming potential, enrich the soil with compost and a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Water the plants thoroughly to help them establish roots. 2. Watering: Maintain a consistent watering schedule to keep the soil evenly moist. Decrease watering frequency during cooler months, but do not let the soil completely dry out. 3. Fertilizing: Apply a high-potassium fertilizer monthly during the growing season to enhance flower production. Stop fertilization by the end of summer to allow plants to harden off for winter. 4. Pruning: Remove spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.
