With "Libertango," the ensemble dives deep into the sensualintensity of the tango, merging lush string arrangements with the haunting, voice-like timbre ofthe theremin - resulting in a soundscape that is both timeless and avant-garde."Piazzolla revolutionized tango by blending it with jazz and classical music," says ManoDivina. The result is a sound that honors the past while boldly reimagining it.The album includes seven of Piazzolla's authentic works - from universally celebrated favoriteslike "Libertango" and "Adiós Nonino," to lesser-known gems such as "Chiquilín de Bachín"and the haunting "12 Monkeys.""My musicians poured their hearts into this recording," says Mano. "As a lifelong Piazzolladevotee, I believe we've created something truly special - versions that are, in some cases, asbeautiful or perhaps even more moving than any I've heard."
