Behringer X32 Compact Digital Mixer 40-Channel 25-Bus Digital Mixer With 16 Microphone Preamps

When Behringer began development on the X32 COMPACT Digital Mixer they collaborated with sister companies Midas and Klark Teknik for implementation support. The result was a COMPACT digital mixing console that delivers all the best features of the X32, such as MIDAS-designed preamps, easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI), customizable LCD scribble-strips and high-quality onboard effects. Sound engineers gain the benefits of the mother-ship in a complete and space-friendly package. The X32-COMPACT is ideal for project studios, small to mid-sized performance venues, houses of worship and more. The unit's programmable, high-grade mic preamps are based on classic MIDAS engineering, all the way down to their A/D converters. The resulting design ensures superior common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and extremely low total harmonic distortion (THD). It's a surprisingly clean amalgam of high-technology merged with superb user-friendly features. As the Behringer-MIDAS-Klark Teknik trio set off to design its GUI they marked a major advancement in digital mixing making it easier, more productive, and more fun. Drawing on their extensive FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) coding experience, they achieved rock-solid, ultra-low latency digital channel patching—providing with it the capacity to handle up to 168 sources on 168 destinations, including the (2) AES50 ports. The introduction of a networked remote control opens up a stunning world of possibilities. Employ Behringer's X32-EDIT PC/Mac/Linux application, X32-MIX for iPad, X32-Q for iPhone/iPod touch and X32-Q for Android to remotely control the mix from anywhere in the room. Run multiple instances of these powerful apps simultaneously, giving your performers the ability to mix their personal monitors on-the-fly.Behringer X32 COMPACT Digital Mixer Features:Compact 40-input channel, 25-bus digital mixing console for studio and live applications(16) MIDAS-designed, fully programmable mic preamps for audiophile sound quality(17) fully automated & motorized 100mm faders(8) XLR outputs plus 6 additional line in/outputs, 2 phones connectors and a talkback section with integrated or external micIndividual and dynamic LCD Scribble Strips on all channels and buses32 x 32 channel USB 2.0 audio interface, with DAW remote control emulating HUI and Mackie ControliPad and iPhone apps for professional remote operation available free of charge—no host PC requiredHigh-resolution 7" day-viewable Color TFT for easy viewing of workflow components and parametersVirtual FX rack featuring 8 true-stereo FX slots include high-end simulations such as Lexicon 480L and PCM70, EMT250 and Quantec QRS etc.40-Bit floating-point DSP features "unlimited" dynamic range with no internal overload and near-zero overall latency (0.8 msec)Powerful scene management for convenient handling of complex productionsAccepts signal for a 48-channel Digital Snake (not included) via dual AES50 ports, featuring Klark Teknik’s SuperMAC networking capability for ultra-low jitter and latencyUSB type-A connector providing file storage and uncompressed stereo recordings plus show presets and system updatesAdditional user-definable control section allows to set up short-cuts to your favorite views or parametersULTRANET connectivity for Behringer's P-16 Personal Monitoring System (not included) plus AES/EBU stereo digital output and MIDIBehringer X32 COMPACT Digital Mixer Specifications:Processing:Number of Processing Channels:32 Input channels8 Aux In channels8 FX Return channels16 buses6 matricesMain LRCInternal Effects Engines, true stereo/mono: 8/16Internal Total Recall Scenes (inc. preamp and fader): 100Signal Processing: 40-bit floating pointA/D-D/A conversion (Cirrus Logic A/D CS5368, D/A CS4385): 24-bit @ 44.1/48kHz, 114 dB dynamic rangeLocal I/O latency (local in >console processing>local out): 0.8 msNetworked I/O Latency (stagebox in >console processing >stagebox out): 1.1 msTotal number of accessible input sources/outputs: 150/160Connectors:XLR Inputs, programmable mic preamps: 16Talkback Mic Input, XLR: 1 external (plus internal mic)RCA Inputs/Outputs: 2/2XLR Outputs: 8Monitoring Outputs, XLR-¼" TRS balanced: 2/2Aux Inputs/Outputs, ¼" TRS balanced: 6/6Phones outputs, ¼" TRS: 2 stereoDigital AES/EBU output, XLR: 1AES50 ports, SuperMac: 2Expansion card (optional - sold separately): 32 channel audio input/output, various standardsP-16 Connector, ultranet (no power supplied): 1MIDI Inputs/Outputs: 1/1Ethernet, RJ45, rear panel, for remote control: 1USB Type A, top panel, for audio and data export/import: 1USB Type B, rear panel, for system updates: 1Mic Input Characteristics:Preamp Design: MIDASTHD + Noise, 20 dB gain, 0 dBu out:< 0.006% A-weightedInput Impedance XLR Jack, unbal. / bal.: 5 kΩ / 10 kΩNon Clip Max.
