Radial 2025 Catapult Rx4l

Radial Engineering's CATAPULT RX4L line-level output module is designed to clean up the stage, simplify setups and take advantage of pre-existing wire infrastructure networks.Catapult is a modular system that lets you drive four analog audio channels over a single Cat 5 or Cat 6 shielded cable. (Note the cable must be shielded in order for phantom power to pass.) Where the Catapult differs from other sub-snakes is that each end features a heavy duty steel box (the input or output modules) which can be ordered with or without transformers. (See TX4M/RX4M for mic-level snakes and TX4/RX4 for direct-wired snakes.) Transformers benefit by allowing you to split or isolate the signal to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops. When the Catapult TX4L (sold separately) and RX4L are teamed together, they act like a typical four-channel analog audio snake; they allow you to send mic or line-level signals from one location to another without signal loss, noise, or interference, and without any digital audio conversion needed. What makes the Catapult system unique is that it utilizes Cat 5 or 6 Ethernet cable, which is widely available, lightweight, and economical. Simply connect a shielded Cat 5 or 6 cable between any two Catapult modules and they will use the analog conductors in the cable to deliver four balanced audio lines to any destination.Catapult modules from Radial Engineering require no power to operate, and since they keep the signal in the analog realm, no digital conversion is necessary. (Alternatively, Catapult snakes can also send AES signals, but an external converter is required.) Straight-wire connection from the XLRs to the RJ45 connector on a Cat 5 or 6 cable ensures that your audio passes through without coloration or distortion. As many buildings are already pre-wired for Cat 5, you can take advantage of this to transmit audio between distant rooms without the need to install or supply new cabling. This eliminates the need for bulky and expensive multi-channel audio cable, and allows contractors to benefit from installed network cable and easily connect from one room to another.FeaturesSend four channels of line-level analog audio over a single Cat 5/6 cableWorks with a building’s existing cable infrastructureEconomical Cat 5/6 cable replaces bulky multi-channel audio snakesReceive with 4 XLR outsHandle: Makes it easy to move your CatapultGround lift: Disconnects ground on RJ45 connectorSpecificationsAudio Circuit Type: Passive line splitter, transformer basedFrequency Response: 7 Hz - 20 kHzDynamic Range: 140 dBTotal Harmonic Distortion: 0.0007% @ 1 kHzCommon Mode Rejection Ratio: >113 dBMaximum Input: +35 dBuInput Connector: RJ45Output Connectors: 4 x XLRThru Connectors: 4 x XLR, RJ45General:Construction: 14-gauge steel chassis & outer shellDimensions (H x W x D): 2" x 4.125" x 8.125"Weight: 2.6 lbsPower: Passive, no power requiredConditions: For use in dry locations only between 5°C and 40°C Radial Engineering CATapult RX4L 4-Channel Receiver, Balanced Outs, Line-Level Transformers, Uses Shielded CAT5.
