Primary use scenarios Plaud NotePin S: Field sales visits, medical consultations, media interviews, and capturing insights while commuting or walking. Plaud Note: Project kickoffs, weekly team syncs, client discovery calls, and any workflow where recording both meetings and phone calls matters. Which one should you choose? Choose Plaud NotePin S if you want a wearable, hands-free solution for capturing in-person conversations while staying mobile. Choose Plaud Note if you need dual-mode recording, especially if phone calls are a core part of your work. Who is Plaud NotePin S for? Plaud NotePin S is built for on-the-go professionals whose work happens in the real world, not behind a desk. It is a wearable AI note taker designed for hands-free capture, so you can stay present without relying on a screen. Unlike phone-attached devices optimized for calls and conference rooms, Plaud NotePin S is made for people who move constantly and need conversations captured as they happen. Medical professionals (doctors, nurses): Plaud NotePin S supports patient consultations by capturing the conversation hands-free and turning it into structured notes, such as SOAP-style outputs. This helps clinicians maintain eye contact and focus on care instead of typing after hours. Field sales and real estate: Plaud NotePin S captures walk-through conversations and negotiations while you move through properties or job sites. With Press to Highlight, you can tag key moments like buying signals, objections, and price discussions in real time, making follow-ups and summaries more accurate. This helps students focus on understanding instead of rushing to write everything down. Creatives and neurodivergent thinkers: Plaud NotePin S helps capture ideas the moment they surface, especially when you are away from a keyboard. Speak naturally while walking or commuting, then review structured outputs later to turn fragments into usable plans. Blue-collar workers and frontline managers: Plaud NotePin S fits environments where hands are busy or gloved. Wear it as a clip or lanyard to log safety checks, inspections, and operational notes on the spot, then turn those recordings into clear documentation afterward. What is the biggest difference between Plaud NotePin S and my phone for recording? The biggest difference between Plaud NotePin S and using your phone to record is friction. A phone is a multitasking device that requires active setup and screen interaction, while Plaud NotePin S is a dedicated, wearable AI note taker built for hands-free, always-ready capture. Active friction vs. passive capture. Phone recording usually requires unlocking your screen, opening an app, and managing notifications or interruptions. Plaud NotePin S starts recording from the device and captures conversations in the background with minimal interaction. More natural in-person conversations. A phone placed on a table can feel like a “recording device” and can pull attention toward the screen. Plaud NotePin S is worn, so you can maintain eye contact and stay engaged while it records. More reliable than a phone Phone recordings can be interrupted by incoming calls, app issues, or low battery. Plaud NotePin S is built specifically for recording, with dedicated hardware and its own battery, so it is more dependable for long conversations. Hands-free control with Highlight. When something important is said, you can use Press to Highlight to mark key moments instantly. This helps the AI prioritize those points in summaries and key takeaways without needing to touch your phone. Purpose-built workflow, not just audio. A phone can capture audio, but Plaud NotePin S is designed to turn conversations into structured outputs, such as summaries, key points, and next steps, so recordings become usable information.
